2024 December- Parliamentary Inquiry into AMEP Contract Management *Updated

Following from ACTA’s submission to this Inquiry 2024 September- ACTA’s Submission to Parliamentary Inquiry into Contract Management Frameworks – Australian Council of TESOL Associations, ACTA Vice-President, Helen Moore, gave evidence in a hearing on 4 December.

In this statement, Helen stated that the initial contract written by the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training was defective. She also pointed out problems with competitive contracting, particularly problems in using KPIs to evaluate provider performance, the absence of any evaluation of competitive contracting itself, the stifling effect of competitive contracting, and the need for a more comprehensive examination of the AMEP than is possible in this Inquiry.
